MA - Speaking for the Trees: Gas Leaks and Climate Change

Climate change and methane gas leaks each pose significant threats to our local trees and forests.

Dr. Pamela Templer, BU Professor of Biology and a climate change researcher, will present the results of her research from an experimental forest in New Hampshire where, with her team, she has been simulating an increasingly warm environment. Ray Oladapo-Johnson, Director of Park Operations for the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, will speak about his organization's efforts to detect methane gas leaks and protect trees from the adverse effects of leaking methane gas.

Massachusetts has more than 20,000 gas leaks with over 300 in Brookline, making our town the second highest in gas leaks per mile.

Learn what you need to know and how you can make a difference in Brookline and beyond.  RSVP here!

And then join Mothers Out Front Brookline for Gas Leaks Tagging on the 13th!
