Tell your US Senator that you OPPOSE Scott Pruitt for the EPA

President-Elect Trump nominated Scott Pruitt to lead the EPA. A climate denier, Mr. Pruitt is the current Attorney General of Oklahoma and he has tightly aligned himself with the fossil fuel industry. This is not a man who should be running the agency charged with protecting the environment of this country for generations to come.

As Mothers Out Front, we must reach out to our Senators and express our opposition to this appointment. Please ask your senator to vote for the interest of the people, the climate and the environment and vote no for this appointment.  You can send an email, letter, or make a phone call.

SAMPLE TEXT for your message:

SUBJECT: VOTE TO OPPOSE SCOTT PRUITT

Dear Senator:

My name is _________ and I live in ___________ . I am a volunteer with Mothers Out Front. We are mothers and  grandmothers who are building a powerful grassroots movement to ensure a swift, complete, and just transition away from fossil fuels and toward clean and renewable energy.

I am writing today to ask for your vote to OPPOSE Scott Pruitt’s nomination as head of the EPA. As Attorney General of Oklahoma, he aligned himself with the fossil fuel industry and against protecting the environment for our children.

A climate denier at the helm of the EPA is the wrong direction for our country and our children. We need a leader who will take the important mission of this agency seriously. Someone who will protect our air and water as well as create policies to ensure a livable climate for all children today and tomorrow.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to your support on this very important issue.

Sincerely,

(Your name)
