As Mothers Out Front goes through an organizational transformation around racial equity and justice, it is vital that members and staff with white privilege dedicate ourselves to doing our own internal work to understand white privilege so that we be the change we seek at Mothers Out Front.
Layla F. Saad’s eye-opening book, Me and White Supremacy challenges you to do the essential work of unpacking your biases, and helps white people take action and dismantle the privilege within themselves so that you can stop (often unconsciously) inflicting damage on people of color, and in turn, help other white people do better, too.  Based on the viral Instagram challenge that captivated participants worldwide, Me and White Supremacy takes readers on a 28-day journey, complete with journal prompts, to do the necessary and vital work that can ultimately lead to improving race relations.
This meeting helps offer and lay out a structure for how you can begin your own learning group utilizing the tools provided in Me and White Supremacy either within your own local team, with friends and family, or in a larger national membership base if there is enough interest.
You can read more about the book and where to buy it here. Please RSVP by October 27th.
