Ditch the car and join the Mothers Out Front Bike Bus to the HONK! Parade.
Our family-friendly group ride will travel from the Concord Center to Davis Square in Somerville, making stops in Bedford, Lexington, and Arlington. Join at any stop along our route!

What is the Honk Festival?
HONK! is an annual festival of activist street bands is a three day event filled with music, arts, puppets, dancing, activism, community building and more!
Mothers Out Front invites all members and supporters to march with us in the HONK! Parade on Sunday, October 9th. The Bike Bus will arrive in Davis Square at 11:30, the Parade will depart down Massachusetts Avenue at 12:00, and we plan to arrive in Harvard Square around 1:15. Festivities will continue following the parade in Winthrop Park.
What is a Bike Bus?
A bike bus is a group of people who cycle together along a set route following a set timetable. Participants may join or leave the bike bus at various points along the route. Most bike buses are a form of collective bicycle commuting, especially for children traveling to and from school.

Bike Bus Schedule:
9:00 – 9:10 – Stop at the Concord Visitor’s Center
9:10 – 9:40 – Travel from Concord to Bedford *
- The route is 4.8 miles
- Via surface streets, including Route 62 *
9:40 – 9:50 – Stop in Depot Park in Bedford
9:50 – 10:20 – Travel from Bedford to Lexington
- The route is 3.8 miles
- Via Minuteman Bikeway
10:20 – 10:25 – Stop at the Lexington Visitor’s Center
10:25 – 10:55 – Travel from Lexington to Arlington
- The route is 5 miles
- Via Minuteman Bikeway
10:55 – 11:00 – Stop at the Uncle Sam Memorial Statue
11:00 – 11:30 – Travel from Arlington to Davis Square
- The route is 2.9 miles
- Via Bike Paths
* This portion on the ride includes busy streets, including Route 62. If you are traveling with children, please join the ride at Depot Park in Bedford.
What about the return trip?
We assume Festival participants will leave the parade at a variety of times. Unless there is strong interest in a group return ride, we will plan for participants to make their own way home following the festivities.
