Brookline, MA: Make Food, Not Pollution. Compost!

Make Food, Not Pollution. Compost!

MASSACHUSETTS  >  BROOKLINE CHAPTER  >  ZERO WASTE

Meet the Mothers Out Front “fruits”!!

The pineapple, banana, watermelon and strawberry were out in force this past spring promoting COMPOSTING!

They were everywhere: at the “Clean Energy Party” sponsored by Climate Action Brookline, at the Farmers Market, at the Juneteenth Celebration, and at the schools greeting students and parents on their way to and from school.

Did this boost the number of residences participating in composting?  YES!  Subscriptions for curbside compost pickup with Black Earth Composting jumped from 1100 to 1300 over the six week time period.
