Reverend Ruth Ferguson, mother and Episcopal priest, speaks to the Brighton Town Board urging them to adopt Community Choice Aggregation legislation to move Brighton closer to a 100% clean energy future. The CCA campaign in the Rochester area has been organized and led by our allies, the Rochester People's Climate Coalition and supported by local Mothers Out Front Community Teams. RPCC has secured CCA wins - meaning CCA legislation has passed - in the Village of Lima and the Village of Scottsville. Mayor Lovely Warren in the City of Rochester has publicly announced interest in pursuing CCA. Brighton Town Board members expressed support for CCA legislation. A second CCA public hearing in Brighton will be held September 13th.
