What is the moment that you decided to work towards climate justice?
As a child at theme parks, the Disney exhibit, “It’s a small world” really spoke to me. Ever since, I’ve always felt we are all responsible for all the world’s children. I want to create conditions for everyone to thrive.
What are the strengths that you bring to movement building?
I bring a rich history as a community organizer, strategist, and trainer, with a particular interest in team building and fostering successful structures for shared leadership. As Regional Manager for Moms Demand Gun Sense in America, I coached five state-based chapters, cultivated leaders, worked with teams to activate voters and build a powerful mother-led movement. I enjoy organizing at the community level and understand that the people most affected by a problem need to be at the center of defining solutions and pushing for change.
