Tasha Dawson
Boston Senior Organizer
Specializing in policy, elections, and popular education-style training, Tasha has worked in electoral and issue-based organizing for over six years. She found her passion for activism as a volunteer in the reproductive justice space, founding the only reproductive justice organization at the University of Oklahoma while earning her degree in political science and election and campaign management. Tasha has managed several progressive electoral campaigns in Oklahoma and Massachusetts, using storytelling and coalition building to develop strategic power in both red and blue states. Most recently, she worked as the Training Manager with Planned Parenthood’s national office, where she developed and executed the national training strategy for organizing. She is coming into the climate justice space with a lens toward reproductive justice: the idea that every person should be able to decide if, when, and how they have a child. By energizing our communities to push decision makers toward child-centered climate justice, she believes that we can make extensive progress in the transition to a sustainable society. In her free time, Tasha enjoys building LEGOs, woodworking, and spending time with her cat, Alex.
