SEPTEMBER: The Future of Clean Heat

We are asking the gas utilities in Massachusetts to sign on to the Mothers Out Front Future of Clean Heat Platform. Join us in calling for a just transition from fossil fuels to clean heat solutions that are all-electric, safe, sustainable, and affordable for all.

A large portion of our state’s greenhouse gas emissions comes from heating buildings with fossil fuel. Gas utility companies are being required to plan their transition to net-zero emissions right now, but early drafts of these plans are full of half-measures and false solutions that fail to meet the urgency of the climate crisis.

A group I’m involved with – Mothers Out Front – has been organizing Massachusetts residents to push the investor-owned gas companies to do better. We are asking the gas utilities to plan a transition to heating solutions that are clean, safe, and affordable. I signed this petition, and I hope you will too — Tell Your Gas Company: We Want Real Climate Solutions!

If we want to stop climate change, we must to change the way we heat our buildings! Investor-owned utility companies have profited off of fossil fuels for decades.
