Silicon Valley: “Natural” Gas Info & Action

The Silicon Valley team has something special planned for our April 7 event! Learn how “natural” gas affects our health and the climate, and then do something about it.
- 7-8 pm PDT: Dr. Michael Martin of UC San Francisco and Physicians for Social Responsibility (PSR) explains “Why ‘Natural’ Gas Is Bad for Your Health and the Climate,” followed by a Q&A session. This is especially timely right now since San Jose and other South Bay towns are working on plans to reduce the use of natural gas.
- 8-9 pm PDT: Learn how to write a top-notch letter to the editor (8 pm), and then start writing your own letter (~8:20 pm). We’re encouraging participants to write letters to the San Jose City Council this month in favor of San Jose’s Existing Building Electrification Plan, but as always, you can write on any topic you choose. In just one short hour you can make an impact while meeting other moms who care about the climate crisis as much as you do!!
