She received her BS in Urban Education from Howard University. Prior to joining Mothers Out Front, Bria served at two other nonprofit organizations, Cultivate Charlottesville and EMERGE Fellowship, respectively. In her role as Program Director at Cultivate Charlottesville, she advocated for racial equity across regional food systems and collaborated with local government to implement a community-based policy initiative.
