Talking with children about climate change

Talking with children about climate change

Date: October 15, 2023
Time: 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm ET
Location: Mass Audubon Magazine Beach Park Nature Center, 668 Memorial Drive, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02139

Children are constantly exposed to news about climate change: fires, hurricanes, snowless winters, and hot summers. How can parents have honest but positive conversations about climate with their children?

Join us for a Climate Café that will engage parents and caregivers in an open conversation. Be prepared to listen, share concerns, ideas, and come up with solutions in both large and small groups. This event provides a safe and welcoming space that will equip parents with tools to nurture the next generation of climate stewards.

Parents and caregivers are welcome to bring their children 3 years old and up to join Mass Audubon staff on an exploration of nature at Magazine Beach Park while parents participate in the discussion, which is intended for adults. Snacks and beverages will be served. FREE and open to parents and caregivers from Cambridge and beyond. Hosted with Mass Audubon,

RSVP required, use this Mass Audubon link to sign up.
