MA: Ask Gov. Healey for a Just Transition to Renewable Energy

MA: Ask Gov. Healey for a Just Transition to Renewable Energy

Date: January 25, 2023
Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm ET
Location: Boston State House, 24 Beacon Street , Boston , Massachusetts, 02133

Our Mothers’ Letter to the Governor has a delivery date! We’ll be at the State House on Wednesday, Jan 25, 2:00 pm  (in case of a storm, the backup date is Tuesday, January 31).

All ages are invited, and there will be snacks and activities while we welcome Governor Healey to her new position and deliver the thousands of signatures we’ve collected to her. This will be a fun and impactful, kid-friendly event. Our theme is “Hands Together for Climate Justice”. We will gather together for a public reading of our letter to our new Governor Maura Healey.

This is an important moment. While we expect Gov. Healey to be an ally to the climate movement, we want to take advantage of this transitional time to clearly and firmly state our priorities to her. While we’re at the State House, we’ll also visit some of our legislators, and after the event there will be a chance to socialize among the attendees.

There is still time to gather signatures for the Mothers’ Letter through the end of December. We aren’t quite to 3,000 yet, so keep on sharing and signing! Follow this link for online signatures or this one to sign up as a Climate Connector!
