Join Mothers Out Front New River Valley to Picture Your Green New Future! This virtual event will provide Mamas, caregivers and others with an opportunity to learn about and support the Virginia Green New Deal (VA GND) legislation in the upcoming January 2021 VA General Assembly. The event will provide participants with tools to advocate and lobby our representatives in fun, safe and creative ways such as youth artbuilds, social media campaigns and legislative outreach with the VA GND coalition across the state.

Picture your Green New Deal will discuss benefits the various legislation will have on our region in Southwest Virginia and other areas across the state such as job creation, protection from destructive fossil fuel projects, rural development and local food and agriculture support.

Participants will receive a legislative lobbying kit by mail upon request. Kits are available on a first come first serve basis while supplies last.

Picture our Green New Future This follow up event will engage Mamas and kids about the Green New Deal and accompanying Climate and Environmental Justice legislation through a discussion of how this legislation can offer beneficial rural development, job creation, local food and ag infrastructure and protection from destructive fossil fuel development in Southwest Virginia and other rural areas.
