Jorge began his campaign work as an intern for AOC in Queens in 2018, and moved to grassroots campaigning for Bernie Sanders in Ithaca while attending Cornell University. As a City Council member from 2022-23, he championed labor protections, tenant rights, and environmental initiatives under Ithaca’s Green New Deal. Jorge holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Government & American Studies with a minor in Latino/a Studies from Cornell University.
Motivated by the devastating impact of Hurricane Maria on Puerto Rico, Jorge is driven to fight for climate justice as a vital cause for his community and vulnerable populations worldwide. His campaign experience spans multiple government levels, where he has realized significant victories for local organizations and LGBTQ+ rights. At Mothers Out Front, Jorge is committed to leveraging his skills to forge broad, effective coalitions to combat climate change and protect future generations.
Jorge enjoys spending time at home with his partner and their kitten.
