What is the moment that you decided to work towards climate justice?
Environmental issues have always been important to me. When I went to college, a friend invited me to join our student climate group. After almost a year of showing interest but not taking action, she put it to me directly – it seems like you care about this, why aren’t you joining? I finally went to a meeting, where I learned about the Keystone XL pipeline and began fighting against fossil fuel infrastructure and for fossil fuel divestment.
What are the strengths that you bring to movement building?
I love to support people in the work from behind the scenes. I enjoy spreadsheets, logistics, and systems thinking to help us build relationships, build power, and win.
